Responsibilities
The Project Manager designs, schedules and oversees technology development projects under the guidance of the CEO, following the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope, ensuring that deviation from the plan is mitigated proactively and efficiently to meet the client’s expectations. The Project Manager is expected to have a working knowledge of hardware projects and in particular electronics projects. The Project Manager also compiles and drives documentation for the project, ensuring the accuracy and quality of regulatory data. 

Your Contribution

  • Monitor project scope, schedule and costs to ensure all remain on track with the contract and with financial performance targets.
  • Understand the strategy for project delivery, costing assumptions and subsequent budget for the project(s) assigned when reporting on it as requested.
  • Proactively lead both quality control and risk assurance activities to ensure project deliverables are met according to regulatory and client requirements.
  •  Aid in development and maintenance of key project performance indicators for client specified metrics, ensuring that the KPIs are within scope of the project contract.
  • Define and manage project resource needs and establish succession plans for key resources.
  • Serve as an escalation point for project issues to internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve conflicts as needed. 

Requirements
Key qualifications

  • University/college degree (engineering preferred) or certification in a related technology profession from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to utilize resources effectively
  • Financial awareness and ability to actively utilize financial tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff
  • Ability to adapt fast to new challenges

Preferred: 

  • Experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience working in startup environment
  • PMP Certification
  • Language: English preferred. French an asset.
